It́mel Festival
It́mel Festival is a three-day annual music festival that takes place in Alamirál, Minletor, Kulpania. It́mel is regularly attended by around 80,000 people and approximately 1,500 staff.
One of the key aims of the It́mel Festival is to promote the Kulpan music industry, and it does this by ensuring headline slots are always filled by at least one non-international act. The festival's organisers have sometimes received criticism for employing this policy, as it limits the potential for larger international acts to play at the event.
The festival began in 1999, when TLC were the largest international headliner and Míslena were the largest Kulpan headliner. The first event set the record for the largest attendance: over 100,000 people were confirmed to have attended. It́mel has since taken place every year except 2007, when an accident at a nearby chemical factory caused contamination of the soil and it was deemed to dangerous to host the event.
The most recent It́mel Festival took place in 2022, when the headliners included Bastille, Modaśobɉonit, and Mośín Cevodel Cora.
